Djeco is a timeless, family-owned toy brand whose maxims are creativity, boldness, and passion. Founded in 1954 by Véronique Michel-Dales, the small business thrived in a time where few women embarked on adventures of this kind. Véronique devised educational games that were attractive, intelligent, and fun. Djeco won four Oscars for toys in the 1960s, and their name is a reference to the gecko, the lucky lizard.
After taking a short break while Véronique's son was growing up, the company was revived by the young Frédéric in 1989. Frédéric travelled around the world and imported toys that did not yet exist in France, and his global vision pervades the company to this day. He devised a collection of educational toys in 1997. By 2007, original craft kits revolutionised creative past times. 2011 saw the arrival of inimitable figurines. Djeco's new collections display artistry that promotes creativity among children.
